Fury as pairs expert enjoys Innerleithen hospitality
Mystery surrounded the future of Sime Racing’s very own Barry Sime (left, who changed his name by deed poll to “prove his loyalty” to the team) this week, as he was caught ingratiating himself in the company of 10 Under the Ben rivals, Team Don Logan at Innerleithen. TDL’s resident brothers, Frank and Andy Trek were said to have transported Sime to the 7Stanes venue for a day’s riding, eating jelly babies and winding-up other team members who had to be at work instead.Sime Racing team mate, Stuart Andrew said, “We haven’t spoken yet so I don’t know if its true but I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t had my suspicions. I mean, he started sending them his holiday pictures and everything, for f***’s sake. And they’re a right bunch of c***s so I wouldn’t put it past them. Anyway, it’s hardly a big deal; it’s not as if it’s Robbie hanging out with Oasis or anything”.
Sime, hiding in his recently-refurbished East Kilbride mansion, issued a brief statement denying the rumours. In it he said, “Not this time. Not this f****** time. No. No no no no no no no no no! No! No no no no no no no no no no no no no! No! Not this f****** time! No f****** way! No f****** way, no f****** way, no f****** way!”
A spokesman for TDL told reporters, “You’re kidding, right? Hang on, he does have a van tho’…”
Well what can i say.
My latest intelligence suggests i may still be welcome in my own team, with Stuart “nah i’ll pass on that other lap as im boiling my rice” Andrew, so i might not need to integrate myself with TDL for the time being…
Better check my deed poll documents though!
Im sure TDL will not be the only ones to face the final selection on Sunday the 14th December, which i am reliably informed will be held at Drumlanrig. Mr Andrew will be keeping a close eye on Gal.
